BOUDOIR SHOOT

PIEGNOIR: DreamLolita - Etsy

JEWELRY: Aubergine Vintage Emporium

Ooooh! I have been out of the modeling scene for over a year now. What? And since I'm not going to school this semester I decided to work on all the lovely creative hobbies that I have been slacking on. I've been drawing a lot more lately, taking lots of photos on my camera, I finished up-cycling my vintage vanity, and I have a couple of shoots lined up for the next couple weeks!

Many of my friends have worked with the photographer who shot with me last week: Ron E Photos. He's a Bay Area based photographer who specializes in pinup and vintage styled shoots. All of the clothing and pieces used in this shoot were true vintage and I could not recommend him enough! These images are almost straight out of his camera, I did some light editing on my computer but nothing fancy.

Enjoy!

My hair is almost long enough to create an Audrey Hepburn/Mitzi Gaynor type curl but it really needs a couple more inches. I'm so impatient when my hair is in the in-between phase of long and short. I always end up chopping it off and wishing it was longer again! But I think the platinum blonde hair, the 60's negligee, and the classic gold hoop earrings create a great mid-century vibe.

The peignoir that I'm wearing is one I got on Etsy from DreamLolita's shop. Oh my Lordy, this garment is definitely made of dreams. It's so soft, arrived in pristine condition, and has been my go-to dressing robe in the mornings when I'm doing my makeup. I feel like a Hollywood Starlet now! The floral details around the sleeve cuffs and down the center are exquisite. And it's floor length so I can swoop through the halls like a cloud princess!

I've always been really self-conscious about my traps because they're naturally big and muscly. I swoon at the sight of a long poised neck (just look at my boyfriend), but with my bulging trapezii my neck feels stumpy to me. The lighting in these photos is incredible and easily accentuated my features to make me look long and lean. I'm in love with how my neck looks in this last photo. I'm a swan!

Moving onto the backdrop photos. Like I said earlier, there is very little editing done so the backdrop is visibly wrinkly. On Instagram I'll definitely be posting the edited shots when Ron finishes them up.

I love how delicate these backdrop shots look. I'm in a wonderland of flowy drapy cloths. It reminds me a little of a Britney Spears music video mixed with the Beauty School Dropout sequence from Grease the movie. The hat, the pearls, and the night gown are pieces from Ron's extensive costume collection. We had a lot of fun trying on different garments and seeing how they looked.

Wow, that was a lot of photos! I just couldn't decide which to put in since we took over 500 shots with multiple other looks that didn't make it into this post. I hope to be posting more modeling photos on here as I participate in more shoots.

Until next time!
