TATTED!

I got my first tattoo the other day!!!

I finally recovered from a terrible stomach bug that kept me from blogging for a week! It was awful. So right when I got better I went and got my first tattoo which I had been talking about for, literally, 4 years! I kept telling myself "after I graduate I'll get this tattoo," "after this musical I'll schedule the appointment," but I never did. I had put it on my To Do list for this week and somehow I got the motivation to head down to the parlor and make a down payment so I couldn't back out.

I've been doodling this image since high school and I had it pretty much perfected by the time I showed it to my tattoo artist. I chose a Viking helmet because I'm Danish and I like the idea that I'm a warrior. However, I'm also a princess to the core and a Disney freak too, so I added a Sleeping Beauty tiara and plenty of pink.

This is me kissing my bare shoulder goodbye before I go into the parlor. My boy was good to me and held my hand the entire time because it hurt quite a bit!

My artist was super nice and let me take a break after the outline was done. I was pretty stiff the whole time so we took a quick smoke break. Some guy who was there for a friend getting tatted told me my outline was "badass." And then we went in to color!

Sorry for the blood! This is after two hours and I'd taken off the bandage.

This is the tattoo today! The horns should become whiter in the next couple weeks when its done healing but I love it so much! I feel like such a badass, I've been trying to wear shoulder-less shirts to show it off (and so that it can heal). I even accidentally sent a picture of it to my manager when trying to text my cross-country pals. Whoops. She never texted me back but hopefully she appreciated it, haha!

I'll show some updates in a couple weeks when it's healed!
