I've been off the blog scene for a while which is my own fault. I just got a new camera and a bunch of awesome stuff in the mail to show off! But my photographer/instagram husband/boyfriend and I have had conflicting schedules these past couple weeks and didn't have a lot of daytime to shoot for my blog! So here is a little eclectic post about a few things I've gotten in the mail recently!
I had been wanting a good DSLR camera for a while because I love photography and my iPhone just wasn't cutting it. After a lot of research I got one of the best beginner DSLR cameras on Amazon, the Nikon D3300. It has been so fantastic! I'll definitely be putting up a post with some of my shots. They're mostly of my cat Pirate because he's so photogenic what with his piercing stare and all.
Next is my Shellphone case from Valfre! Oh my lord, it is so friggin cute! It's so bulky and obnoxious, I love it. My boyfriend's mom abhors the color pink and all things girly so she let me know how obnoxious it is but that's why I bought it! I even changed my text tone to be dolphin sounds so I can say that the ocean is calling me. #RatherBeAMermaid
There is this fantastic cartoon on Cartoon Network called Steven Universe that I have become completely obsessed with! It approaches a lot of controversial topics like gender, sexuality, love, and loss in a way I have never seen a cartoon do before, and in a way that's accessible to kids too! I got a "Cookie Cat" shirt, earrings, and keychain online along with collectable character Minis. I have 7 of the Minis so far and I am determined to collect all 15 of them.
I have also been collecting vintage pastel colored cardigans. I have a pink, yellow, cream, and purple one but I've been on the hunt for a blue one! Down town at my favorite vintage store, Hot Couture, I found a beautiful beaded cashmere cardigan that fit perfectly in my collection.
Lastly is my new favorite shirt! It's a 1940's halter top I bought on Etsy from my favorite online shop, Duet Vintage. It's a one woman company that sells the finest vintage clothing. On one of my previous posts you'll find a blue floral dress I also got from Duet that Instagram went crazy for! This halter was slightly too small for me around the neck because I have some broad shoulders but it was an easy fix with a hair tie.
So that's it for now! I'll be better about posting more regularly since my love and I will have consistent schedules for the next couple months.
See you next time,
Miss Shop-a-holic Summer
